Meadowview Regional Medical Center Partners with Mason County Schools to Mentor Future Leaders

January 14, 2026

Maysville, KY [January 13, 2026] — Meadowview Regional Medical Center has developed a mentorship partnership with Mason County Schools designed to inspire and prepare students for future careers through direct engagement with healthcare leaders.

As part of the initiative, hospital directors and senior leaders from Meadowview Regional Medical Center are volunteering their time to mentor local students. Through one-on-one and small-group interactions, students gain valuable insight into leadership, career pathways, workplace expectations, and the importance of community service.

“This partnership allows our leaders to share real-world experience while helping students envision what’s possible for their futures,” said Kathy Vancampen, CEO and Market President, Meadowview Regional Medical Center. “Mentorship is an investment—not just in students, but in the long-term strength of our community.”

Mason County Schools officials emphasized the value of connecting students with professionals who can provide guidance beyond the classroom. The mentorship program supports career readiness, confidence-building, and exposure to a wide range of professions within healthcare and business leadership.

“Our students benefit tremendously from learning directly from professionals who lead complex organizations and care deeply about this community,” said Rick Ross, Superintendent, Mason County Schools. “These mentors help students see how education connects to meaningful careers.”

Meadowview Regional Medical Center and Mason County Schools hope this collaboration will serve as a model for other organizations throughout the region. Local business owners, executives, and community leaders are encouraged to donate their time and expertise by serving as mentors to students.

“Strong communities are built when businesses and schools work together,” added Kathy Vancampen. “We invite other local leaders to step forward and help shape the next generation.”
